There’s a new Facebook Group in town that is sure to get a lot of people talking. It’s Lethbridge Parking Wars! We’ve all seen a bad park-job and some of us have even committed a parking faux-pas…and NOW there’s a place to share your parking lot angst. Whether you see someone taking up 3 spots cause they drive a trunk and think they are entitled because their parents didn’t give them enough attention as a child, or some idiot thinks the shopping cart corral is their own royal luxury pad. It’s all there. Grab your camera phone, the battle is about to begin!

Last night after my radio show, my co-worker Tim and I were talking about how every other city in Canada uses their Airport Code as a local #Hashtag on Twitter (#YYC = Calgary, etc.)…except Lethbridge. Most people in Lethbridge (including myself) would just use #Lethbridge as a hashtag when we wanted people in town to see what we were talking about. The problem with that is it uses up valuable real estate in a 140 character world. So I threw out a tweet saying that we should start using our Lethbridge Airport Code “YQL” as a hashtag.
The response was HUGE. So big in fact #YQL is now the 2nd biggest Trending Topic in the city. Unreal.
